Amadeus reports the launch of Travel Seeker HD, a travel app for browsing hundreds of flights and fares from the Apple iPad. Travel Seeker HD is designed to showcase Amadeus Extreme Search technology and tablet development capabilities, Amadeus says.
Amadeus can also develop a white label version of this application for travel agency or airline customers.
The app is now available in the U.S. and Canada. It can be downloaded for free.
Using an intuitive graphical interface, Travel Seeker HD provides rich information about destinations and activities, helping travelers explore and plan their next trip without being confined to searching by origin, destination and date, Amadeus says.
In addition to searching for flights and fares, users can receive answers to questions about the weather, activities and points-of-interest before they visit a destination. The app delivers instant responses to questions like:
· Where can I travel for $500?
· What’s the best time of year to travel to New Zealand?
· Where can I enjoy a family theme park vacation?
· In which cities can I meet my friends?
The Amadeus Travel Seeker HD app is now available in the U.S. and Canada. It can be downloaded for free from the App Store on iPad or directly at https://itunes.apple.com.
