Amadeus Unveils New Tools for Agencies

Amadeus has unveiled two new e-commerce solutions – Amadeus Cruise Shopper and Amadeus e-Power. These new tools will enable travel agencies in the U.S. and Canada to generate new business and revenue, increase customer loyalty, and confidently compete in the online marketplace, Amadeus reports.
"Travelers need us to make complex shopping processes much simpler. Simplicity and targeting increase conversion rates. With Amadeus Cruise Shopper and Amadeus e-Power we've streamlined the shopping process so consumers can quickly purchase the products they want," said Scott Alvis, chief marketing officer, Amadeus North America.
Amadeus Cruise Shopper is a online sales solution for leisure travel companies looking to sell cruises online. Agencies can offer cruise deals on their website, manage their sales processes, and expand their business with revenue-generating online transactions.

Delivering 90 percent of the world’s cruise inventory directly to online shoppers, Amadeus Cruise Shopper makes it easy for customers to quickly search, review, and book cruises online by destination, cruise line, ship, port, and date range.

The solution is fully integrated with a comprehensive consumer booking site, travel professional booking center, and flexible sales reporting tools. It is ideal for use by travel agencies, franchises, and consortia members, as well as airlines and cruise lines, Amadeus   says.

Amadeus e-Power (B2C) is a comprehensive online solution that seamlessly integrates Amadeus content into a web site and features real-time access to GDS content that expands online booking options to include air, hotel, and car packages.

It delivers a booking engine with built-in search optimization that enables agencies to sell and cross-sell a broad range of travel products online. It also enables agencies to promote special travel offers and apply customized service fees and markup rules to maximize profits, Amadeus says.

Amadeus e-Power also features quicker and easier fare access, a customizable user interface, secure online payment system, and simple set-up and maintenance with no need to invest in costly software installations or updates.
Agencies can pair Amadeus Cruise Shopper with Amadeus e-Power for a complete leisure travel online booking engine delivering air, car, hotel, insurance, and cruise shopping and booking options, Amadeus notes.
Both solutions will be showcased at the CLIA cruise3sixty conference in Ft. Lauderdale, April 27-28, at Amadeus booth #519, along with other flagship products including Amadeus Vacation Link and Amadeus Agenta.
