ARC’s Web Portal for Agent Bookings Hits 10,000 Mark

keyboardARC reports that ARC MarketPlace, a web portal that allows travel agents to book destination activities for their clients, has surpassed 10,000 unique agent customers booking on the site since its premiere in 2007.

As a result of this growth, ARC MarketPlace achieved a one-month sales record in May, ARC says. Powered by Viator, ARC MarketPlace supports agents by offering their clients a collection of nearly 10,000 activities in more than 500 destinations worldwide.

“We get rave reviews from our clients when booking them on tours, especially the smaller ones, from ARC MarketPlace,” said Marilyn Allegra of Grove Travel Inc. “They really appreciate the personalized experience they receive as part of a small group, and we really love the selection and price points ARC MarketPlace offers for our clients.”

Since its launch, travel agents have booked an array of activities around the globe for their clients on ARC MarketPlace. By far, activities in Europe account for the majority of bookings, with Rome and Paris leading the way. Las Vegas and New York City were the top destinations for North America, which followed Europe in terms of popularity.

“It’s gratifying to see the tremendous growth of ARC MarketPlace,” said Edyta Satchell, director of product management at ARC. “The ARC MarketPlace staff works very hard daily to make sure we offer travel agents the superior content their clients demand. And helping agents help their clients is another way in which ARC supports this vital professional community.”
