Atlas Travel Selects Amadeus One Technology

Amadeus reports that Atlas Travel, a 26-year-old global travel management company serving more than 500 corporations worldwide and 15,000 vacation travelers, is the first to select the full suite of Amadeus One technology. The move  will deliver greater control of the travel experience for travelers and travel managers, Amadeus says.

"Business travel is constantly changing so agencies need to be able to adapt at a fast pace and prepare for the future or risk their business. With the full Amadeus One suite, Atlas will be able to take optimal advantage of the unique capabilities and benefits of our flexible, scalable technology solutions,” said Vic Pynn, executive vice president for Amadeus in the Americas region.

Amadeus One is designed to help business travel agencies enhance productivity, streamline operations, and optimize procurement at the point of sale. It also helps agencies reduce or eliminate training and bring aboard future generations of travel agents, Amadeus says.

Atlas Travel’s phased rollout of the Amadeus One suite is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

The move will also will facilitate increasing agency productivity and accuracy while enabling the agency to offer additional choices and services to their travel agents as well as their travelers.

In 2011, Atlas says it increased their overall revenues by 15 percent and plans to expand into new geographic areas. An affiliate of BCD Travel, Atlas is an Inc. 5000 company and was recently named by the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) as one of the Top 50 fastest-growing women-led businesses in the U.S.

Additionally, the company provides meeting and incentive services as well as luxury vacation planning.
