Hyatt Unveils New Agent-Focus Programs

November 12, 2007 By: Travel Agent Central Contributor Travel Agent

In 2008, agents should expect new online training from Hyatt Resorts, an expanded e-newsletter by the company and a broader incentive program for booking. Hyatt Resorts unveiled the initiatives at its fourth annual travel agent awards at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa outside Austin, which brought together its top agents from around the country. While Hyatt will continue many of its existing agent programs next year, it also will strengthen the focus on continuing education and brand awareness. In addition, it will expand incentives that stem from Hyatt's Slice of Paradise program, which rewards agents with free nights and other bonuses.

"As a significant percentage of our business comes through travel agent recommendations and sales, we see this event and our multiple incentive programs as continued ways to appreciate and reward agents for their support of the Hyatt brand," said Scott Seed, director of marketing for Hyatt Resorts.
