Sabre Selects TRX for New Business Intelligence

Sabre Travel Network presented a preview of its new Sabre Red Business Intelligence product at the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) Convention in Houston, ahead of its global rollout later this year. Sabre will demonstrate the capabilities at NBTA.

Agencies will gain access to comprehensive travel data, an extensive range of graphical dashboards and reports, including deep benchmarking tools that will help them improve their own business performance and provide insights into their clients’ travel programs.

“We operate in a business environment where success hinges on how easily information and data can be transformed into insights that add value, generate revenues, and reduce costs,” said Chris Kroeger, senior vice president of marketing, Sabre Travel Network.

Announced in June, Sabre Red is designed to help agencies drive customer loyalty and power business performance. Last week the company commenced its global rollout of its Sabre Red Workspace, the agent platform at the heart of the Sabre Red solution. More than 800 customers in 50 countries are now using the Workspace, with Sabre’s remaining agency customers expected to upgrade by the end of the year.

The new business intelligence product will leverage the reporting and data consolidation capabilities of TRX’s TRAVELTRAX solution with Sabre’s data warehouse which contains real-time transaction information and three years’ worth of historical travel data. Sabre Red Business Intelligence will offer reporting capabilities for both agencies and the corporations they serve.

TRX’s TRAVELTRAX solution is used by more than 10,000 corporations and hundreds of travel agencies around the world. By transforming transaction data into actionable insights, clients have achieved overall travel program savings of up to 15 percent and as much as 25 percent on popular city-pair routes.

Sabre said it plans to expand the reporting capabilities in its new business intelligence product to provide even greater insights into areas such as agency and corporate client productivity, duplicate bookings and credit card and expense data. The company also expects to make the product available to corporations through its GetThere collaboration management solution in future.
