says it will make Travel GPA available to its corporate and travel agency subscribers in the U.S. and Canada. Travel GPA offers the global travel industry’s largest benchmarking database, analytics and reporting service built to help organizations improve travel program and policy performance, while reducing spending,

Through a new agreement with developer Prime Numbers Technology, Travelport customers have access to Travel GPA through a preferred flat-rate pricing arrangement rather than transactional billing, a preferred, cost-saving advantage for subscribers of Travelport’s global distribution systems.

With a benchmark database of over 40,000 organizations, Travel GPA offers a Web-based solution that gives corporations and their travel agency partners the efficiencies of a common-use environment to compare, analyze, control and reduce travel spending. Built to collect, assimilate and interpret massive amounts of critical travel data, the solution is recognized for its suite of advanced analytics and reporting tools that are proven in finding actionable opportunities to lower costs and improve travel management efficiencies, Travelport says.

Travel GPA offers a range of over 90 metrics for evaluating travel policy compliance and performance—such as advance purchases, vendor contract compliance, acceptance of lowest available rates and preferred vendor utilization—along with key performance indicators (KPI) and industry best practices. Using the database, business intelligence and analysis tools, organizations are able to view exact savings opportunities based on the performance of their travel program and policies, spending patterns and booking behaviors against those of other organizations.

Travelport says it is the only GDS partner offering flat-rate pricing for Travel GPA, an advantage created to help customers work within a budget and avoid unexpected charges.

Travelport also offers the exclusive efficiencies of configuration across three GDS platforms—Worldspan, Galileo and Apollo—a major benefit for customers using more than one GDS to manage travel. Operational risk is minimized as well for organizations that take advantage of other travel management solutions from Travelport, by reducing their reliance on multiple providers, Travelport says.
