Travelport Enhances Cruise Platform with Silversea, Booking Bonus

Travelport has enhanced its Travelport Cruise & Tour platform by adding Silversea Cruises and functionality that could significantly increase core shopping and booking resources. Travelport also added post-booking management capabilities.

To celebrate Silversea’s participation in the Travelport Cruise & Tour platform, Silversea is offering agents who make a new Silversea booking by February 28 using the Travelport platform a $100 bonus commission per booking.

New functionality for the Travelport Cruise & Tour platform includes:

• Enhanced navigation
• Multi cabin booking
• Cruise comparison
• Dining availability displayed with sailing search results
• Search and book by promotion code
• Auto-email scheduling
• Grouped fare matrix display with highlighted pricing

"We are always looking for ways to bring valuable new content and technology to our customers to help them grow revenue and increase efficiency. This agreement with Silversea Cruises enables our subscribers to book luxury cruises with another industry-leading company while opening up additional markets to them," said Steve Matise, director of supplier development at Travelport GDS, "We’re particularly pleased to see the addition of Travelport Cruise & Tour’s new industry-leading functionality as it offers our customers the tools they need, in a familiar user interface, to manage the booking through its lifecycle."

Silversea Cruises' itineraries encompass all seven continents and feature worldwide luxury cruises to the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and both Polar Regions and more than 400 destinations in between. In the U.S., Silversea has been voted "World's Best" by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler (nine times) and Travel + Leisure (seven times).

"We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Travelport which enables us to distribute our luxury, all-suite vessels more widely to the travel trade," said Steve Tucker, vice president of North American field sales at Silversea.
