Accor Plans Rapid Thailand Expansion

Accor has announced its plans for three new hotels in Thailand, including the debut of its All Seasons brand. The All Seasons Pattaya is scheduled to open in November. The 260-room hotel will be Accor's third in Pattaya. It also will be the company's first All Seasons property in Thailand and its second in Asia (the first is the All Seasons Legian on Bali). The Novotel Chumphon Beach Resort & Golf opens in December with 80 rooms, doubling capacity to 160 rooms and adding an 18-hole championship golf course next year. The property, between Bangkok and Surat Thani, is a primary transfer point for ferries to Ko Nang Yuan, where Accor will open a Sofitel hotel next year. And opening in December 2007 is the Grand Mercure Suites Bangkok. The 165-suite property will be the first Grand Mercure Suite hotel in Thailand, and the third property bearing the Grand Mercure brand in Bangkok. This expansion builds on Accor's growth in Thailand. It has opened four hotels so far this year in Bangkok, a mix of Ibis and Sofitel properties. Visit [www.accor.com].
