Bangkok Airways to Resume Flights December 4

Bangkok Airways will resume 18 flights at Suvarnabhumi International Airport beginning December 4. Its first operative flight landed at the airport at 4:20 p.m. local time (4:20 a.m. EST), today, making it the first since the airport, along with domestic Don Muang Airport , shut down due to political protests.

The Airbus 319 arrived from Samui and departed on the return flight 40 minutes later. In addition to Samui, outbound flights will resume to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Siem, Phnom Pen, Luang Praban and Macau.

The U.S State Department has issued a travel alert on to Thailand through December 10.
