Blue Parallel To Add Bolivia to Portfolio

Travel Agent sat down with Emmanuel Burgio, president of Blue Parallel, Tuesday and learned that the Mexico and Latin America tour operator will be adding Bolivia to its portfolio. Burgio told us the plan is to launch tours there by the end of the year. The news comes on the heels of two recent Blue Parallel additions. The company recently added Fernando de Noronha, Brazil in 2008 and Guatemala earlier this year.

Burgio also told us he is looking to increase his company’s relationship with travel agents. About 95 percent of Blue Parallel’s bookings are currently done directly through the consumer. But Burgio says he would like to change that. “We are really looking to build a strong relationship with agents,” he said.

Blue Parallel offers adventure tours for the affluent traveler in various Mexico and Latin America destinations from the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico to Patagonia, Argentina. It offers agents a 10-percent commission. Agents can contact Burgio at [email protected].
