Brendan's Guided Vacations Can Now Be Booked OnlineFebruary 13, 2009 By: George Dooley
Travel agents can now book Brendan's Guided Vacations (formerly known as Escorted Tours) online as part of the company's continued investment in technology. Once agents register at www.BrendanVacations.com, they have access to all of Brendan's Guided Vacations including South America, South Pacific, Ireland, Europe and the U.S. There is a short video tutorial available to assist agents through the booking process.
"It took Brendan only 40 years to get here, but we have!" said Gary Murphy, president, Brendan Vacations. "Our new reservation systems allow us to more efficiently manage and deliver our product. It has more than doubled our agents' productivity, provides better tools for managing foreign currency and offers a clean and informative invoice for travel agents to provide to their clients."
On the FIT side, Brendan has been using a new internal reservation system since January 1. This new system manages live inventory and contains descriptive and detailed profiles of hotels, sightseeing, transfers and flight information. The entire booking may be confirmed in one call and followed up with an electronic invoice for the agent with commission details, and one for the client with a complete description of their vacation plans. Destinations currently on this system are South Pacific, Asia, and Europe (including Ireland). Brendan's in-depth South and Central America product will be added to the new system in time for the 2010 selling season. The travel agent online FIT booking component will follow shortly thereafter.
With both systems, Brendan continues to offer competitive commission levels for both land and air.
