Collette Vacations is offering an early booking incentive for travelers registered on any one of the company’s 15 new tours for the 2012-2013 season–such as “Flavors of Thailand”–depending on the tour.

For the "Flavors of Thailand" tour, travelers are eligible for a savings of $200 per couple. With the other new tours, there is a savings of up to $500 per couple.

The promotion is valid on new bookings made between now and December 31, 2011 for travel dates between May 1, 2012 and April 30, 2013.

“Flavors of Thailand” was designed to provide unique, diverse experiences that will give tour participants a fresh perspective on the country.

The itinerary includes a pre-dawn visit to a local market where travelers will participate in the offering of alms to hundreds of saffron-robed monks. Also, guests will visit and share a simple lunch with the Akha and Lisu hill tribes; travel through the jungle to Maesa Elephant Camp; stroll along the Bridge over the River Kwai; embark on a Mekong River cruise and visit the Hall of Opium at the Golden Triangle.

This 14-day-escorted tour also includes traditional, must-see sights like the Grand Palace and a stop at Wat Phra Kaew, home of the Emerald Buddha; shopping at Chiang Mai’s night market; and a trip to the Damnoen Saduak floating market.

There will be visits also to The Golden Buddha, one of the world’s largest solid gold statues, and Wat Po, temple of The Reclining Buddha.

The tour’s starting price is $1349 per person, double occupancy, land only.
