Hidden France Celebrates with Hospices of Beaune Wine Auction

Courtyard of the Hospices de BeauneThis fall, Hidden France raises a glass to its first anniversary alongside the 150th anniversary of the Hospices of Beaune Wine Auction. Through November 17-22, the boutique travel and tour service created by Diana Williams, an American living in Burgundy, will take eight guests through Beaune, Volnay and Chambolle-Musigny to where they'll visit wineries, sample vintages and get a taste of French culture and cuisine.

During the course of the tour, $4,000 per person, based on double occupancy, guests will stay at Maison Particulier, a boutique hotel in Beaune, where they can visit the Michelin-starred restaurants Le Chassagne and Bistro L'Hotel. Winery visits will include Maison Alex Gambal in Beaune, Domaine Lafarge in Volnay and Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue in Chambolle-Musigny.

In Beaune, guests will attend a vintage tasting at Maison Gambal, hosted by Alex Gambal to try the 2010 vintage at Palais de Congres or take the opportunity to wander through the city's open air market. Alex Gambal and Williams will welcome guests into their home  for dinner on the cliffs of Orches, just outside of Beanne. Through Beaune, guest will step inside the church at Place Ziem, where they can sample Burgundy specialities. Nearby, attend the Hospices Auction, where guests can bid on barrels from the Hopsices de Beaune November 21.
