GOGO Vacations reports it has promoted Randy Alleyne to president, moving up from his previous post as vice president of sales.

Marg Mulholland, the former president of GOGO Vacations, is moving back home to Australia and taking a position with Flight Centre Travel Group, GOGO’s ultimate parent company.

“Randy came to us with a rich background in the retail world and quickly applied his expertise to make positive impacts on our organization while immersing himself in all things travel. It has proven to be a winning combination and we are thrilled to have him lead the charge as the new president of GOGO Vacations,” said Dean Smith, president of FC USA, GOGO’s parent company in the U.S.

Alleyne had a proven record in sales growth initiatives and operational optimization of retail businesses when he came to GOGO in January of 2013. He was new to the travel industry and it was his fresh perspective that made him such a valuable addition to the team, GOGO said.

During his time at GOGO Alleyne has achieved measurable market share growth, strengthened travel agent relationships, increased sales revenue and more, GOGO said. He has also had a focus on both talent acquisition and training.

“In this next step of my journey with GOGO Vacations I am excited to continue the great work we are doing with our many valued travel agent partners and looking forward to growing all of our businesses – in partnership together – through strategic marketing, training and the robust products and competitive pricing we have to offer,” Alleyne said.  “I will ensure that GOGO’s strong customer-service philosophy and commitment to travel consultants remains steadfast.”

Before joining GOGO Alleyne was an executive vice president, sales and strategy, with RSG Alliance, where he also sat on its board. Prior to that Alleyne held VP spots with well-known brands such as Cydcor, Banfield/PetSmart and Circuit City. He began his sales tenure with Walmart, where he was a regional sales manager.

With more than 40 offices in 26 states nationwide, GOGO Vacations works exclusively with travel agents.
