MLT Vacations President, John Caldwell, announced Monday that Terry Williams has been named vice president of sales for the popular tour operator.
Williams will be responsible for sales of all MLT Vacations brands including Delta Vacations, in partnership with Air France Holidays and Alitalia Vacations, United Vacations, Aeromexico Vacations, and Worry-Free Vacations.
In addition, she will manage the sales events team, which is responsible for MLT University and many other industry-leading travel agent events.
Williams has been with MLT Vacations for four years, most recently as vice president of United Vacations. Prior to joining MLT Vacations, she spent 28 years with Continental Airlines in a variety of sales and leadership positions, including the management of Continental Airlines Vacations.
This latest moves adds to a list of major changes for a company that saw Ken Pomerantz, now former president, and now former CEO, Larry Chestler, step down in late April. Pomerantz has told Travel Agent that he and Chestler opted to step down from the company as opposed to relocating from Minnesota to Atlanta at the request of parent company Delta Air Lines.
The Star Tribune first reported in April that MLT Vacations Inc. confirmed that it could be moving jobs to Atlanta at the request of parent company Delta Air Lines. MLT spokeswoman Susan Worwa said about 240 employees work at MLT's headquarters, but referred further questions to Delta regarding the possible relocation of jobs.
