Pacific Delight Tours has announced it has updated its "In-Depth Japan & China" itinerary for the 2016 and 2017 travel season based on traveler feedback. Changes to the program deal primarily with the Shanghai segment, which will now have additional sightseeing in Shanghai, including the introduction of the M50 art district and a tour of a renowned Shanghai silk factory.

For guests’ convenience, Pacific Delight Tours will also be using the centrally located Four Points by Sheraton Daning in lieu of the Shanghai Marriott Hotel Changfeng Park.

The program begins in Japan where travelers will experience Tokyo, Mount Fuji and Kyoto before transferring to China where they will visit the highlights of Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai. Whereas Pacific Delight included an excursion to the city of Wuzhen (approximately two hours west of Shanghai) in previous incarnations of the program, the current itinerary focuses activities within Shanghai to minimize travel time.

The program starts at $4,799 per person, inclusive of transpacific airfare from Los Angeles or San Francisco (add $200 for New York departures). Pricing is available from other U.S. gateways upon request.

Meals are included as per the itinerary along with intra-Asia flights, bullet train and motor coach transportation, English-speaking guides and the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program.
