SinglesCruise.com Debuts Land-Based Trips for Solo Travelers

SinglesCruise.com, a company that's hosted more than 15,000 singles aboard cruise ships in search of friendship or romance, is now headed ashore with three land-based vacation options this year.

"As much as our clients love our cruise offerings, they told us they wanted even more opportunities to enjoy our signature service on land," said Jody Ryland, vice president, SinglesCruise.com. "We listened and are happy to introduce more variety to their exciting getaway options."

Through the new packages, returning clients will have more selections from which to choose, and SinglesCruise.com, a Travel Leaders Group, hopes the repeaters will share their interest in traveling with other singles who prefer land-based vacations. This year's options include:

  • Turks & Caicos: A four-night Club Med getaway, August 28-September 1, 2014, is planned for the adults-only Club Med Turkoise, on the island of Providenciales, Turks & Caicos, just southeast of the Bahamas. A SinglesCruise.com host will accompany the group during mixers, group dining and other events. Gourmet meals and beverages – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic – are included. Active pursuits such as tennis, snorkeling, aerobics, Zumba, volleyball, soccer, and even Club Med’s unique trapeze classes are complimentary.

  • Morocco: Adventure seekers might check out the seven-night "Morocco Kasbahs and Desert Adventure" trip from August 31 to September 7. It begins in Casablanca, Morocco. Clients will explore high-walled kasbahs (fortresses), wander the alleys of Fes and Marrakech and tour the Sahara dunes on camelback with an overnight in a tented desert camp. The journey will include guided tours through cities, Roman ruins, and Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests also might take an optional tagine cooking class for insight into Moroccan cuisine.

  • Costa Rica: During the eight-night "Costa Rica Volcanoes and Surf Adventure," SinglesCruise.com guests will travel from the capital city of San Jose to the town of La Fortuna, which serves as the base for visits to the active Arenal volcano. From there, they will head out on a guided mountain biking trip en route to Monteverde. SinglesCruise.com guests will also receive a guided tour through the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve and two complimentary surfing lessons in the Pacific Coast town of Playa Jaco. Optional rafting, waterfall rappelling, stand-up paddleboarding and ziplining are also available. For this outing plus the one in Morocco, a minimum number of participants are required to guarantee this will be a private singles group.

“What these land-based SinglesCruise.com vacations offer our clients are desirable destinations and tours led by experienced travel professionals, plus personalized attention from start to finish,” added Ryland. “But perhaps most importantly, we’re bringing together singles who wish to travel the world but who may be reluctant to do so on their own."

She noted that her firm's support staff handle the entire reservation, answer all clients’ questions and provide them with private online message boards to meet other singles before they leave home. SinglesCruise.com also works with travel agents.
