Abercrombie & Kent has introduced new five-day limited edition journeys for clients who want to celebrate New Year's Eve in Hong Kong or London. Clients will stay in five-star hotels, can countdown to midnight at a spectacular celebration and will receive exclusive insider access perks. Both programs are from Dec. 29, 2016 to Jan. 2, 2017.
“A&K guests are always looking for unique ways to celebrate the New Year – and what better way than in a dynamic city like London or Hong Kong,” said Phil Otterson, president, Abercrombie & Kent. “We’ve arranged private access at the best places to see the celebrations, along with exclusive sightseeing, including a foodie tour of the markets of Sham Shui Po led by a culinary specialist and an exclusive before-hours visit to Kensington Palace.”
For the New Year’s celebration in Hong Kong, clients will stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and have dinner at a noted gourmet restaurant with a view of the Hong Kong fireworks. Then, after dinner, they'll head for a well-known local restaurant to experience the Symphony of Lights from the opposite side of the harbor.
They'll also join a culinary specialist on a food trail through Hong Kong's neighborhoods, ride on the Victoria Peak Tram and enjoy an Aberdeen Bay sampan cruise. Also on tap is a relaxed New Year's Day excursion to Macau.
For the New Year's celebration in London, guests will stay at Brown's Hotel and watch the London fireworks from an exclusive viewing area along the Thames River. They'll also have lunch at The Shard, Western Europe's tallest building, for panoramic city views.
Other perks? Guests will attend a performance of The Nutcracker by the English National Ballet; enjoy English high tea at Fortnum & Mason; sit in reserved grandstand seats for the New Year's Day Parade in London, a landmark event for 30 years. Five days from $5,995 per person, double occupancy.
A small group of no more than 24 guests will explore each city’s top sites with A&K’s expert local guides. Private airport transfers on arrival and departure and complimentary Internet access are included. Each departure will be organized by an A&K tour director from start to finish.
