The Cairns Fertility Centre in Western Australia has combined their clinic with a five-star luxury resort, complete with masseurs and a spa. The clinic specializes in assisted reproduction and invitro fertilization (IVF) procedures, and plans to take in patients early next year. The facility will help boost medical tourism, which is just getting off the ground in Australia.
The facility hopes to attract 50 percent of its patients from around the world and 50 percent from within Australia. In addition to the medical facilities, the 12-story building will include a luxury hotel, swimming pool, gym, spa, barbeque area and restaurants. Beauty therapists and counselors are also on hand, as well as surgeons for cosmetic procedures. Packages are available for longer stays as most IVF treatments take at least three weeks.
