PlanetOut, which serves the gay and lesbian community, announced the winners of the 13th annual PlanetOut Travel Awards. Co-sponsored by Travelocity, the awards were presented at a luncheon at the annual convention of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association in Washington, D.C. Winners for this year included: Provincetown for gay resort town, New York City for domestic destination, Buenos Aires as international destination and Spain as destination of the year. Suppliers included American Airlines, Crystal Cruises, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and OutWest Global Adventures. Royal Palms took home an award for gay resort while Sydney Mardi Gras won for the gay events category. (ES)
