Meander Travel Treats Agents at IDE

During the annual International Destination Expo (IDE) in Istanbul, Turkey, Meander Travel gave a reception cocktail with wine and cheese to National Association of Careert Travel Agent (NATA) and American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) members at a Byzantine cistern while archeologist and tour guide Hakan Edirne gave a lecture about Turkish culture and history. After the lecture by Edirne, agents were treated to a classical music concert by a chamber orchestra. About 90 agents overall were in attendance.

Nakkas Underground Cistern was built in 6 century A.D. by Byzantine Empire when the city was called Constantinopolis. Since the renovation by Nakkas group, it has hosted many cultural events such as concerts and exhibitions and was filmed for a documentary by Discovery Channel.
