Tour operator MLT Vacations, which sells Hawaii, the Caribbean, Mexico and more, announced Tuesday via an e-mail to its travel agent, hotel and destination partners that MLT University, the company's annual tradeshow, will now be known as Delta Vacations University.

"This decision comes after collaborative discussions with our travel agency partners," said John Caldwell, president of MLT Vacations, in a written release. "During these conversations, it became clear that a majority of our customers across the country recognize us more as Delta Vacations.

During our coverage of last year's tradeshow, Caldwell told Travel Agent that due to MLT’s rapid growth across all of its channels, the company decided to move the popular MLT University show out of Minnesota for the first time in the show’s history.

“Because our growth has been strong, we have elected to host MLT University in Atlanta in 2016,” Caldwell told Travel Agent at the time. “We will evaluate how it goes before we decide whether it stays in Atlanta.”

MLT University is set for September 17-18 at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta, which is where Delta Air Lines has its headquarters.
