Bulgaria Air to Be Sold

Bulgaria's government has approved a deal for Balkan Hemus Group, a part of Hemus Air, to take a 99.99 percent stake in Bulgaria Air. The company vowed to invest $107.7 million and create about 500 new jobs by the end of the fourth year of the sale, the Sofia Weekly reported on Friday. Balkan, which outbid Italian carrier Air One for Bulgaria Air, plans to open 36 new destinations and debut 164 new frequencies of regular routes.
