Cathay Pacific Airways says that Hong Kong Dragon Airlines (Dragonair) is now its wholly owned subsidiary. Even as Dragonair becomes part of the Cathay Pacific Group, it will retain its separate branding, market positioning and identity. The shareholding restructuring that was just completed also means a much closer partnership between Cathay Pacific and Air China, Cathay says, with benefits for the hubs in Hong Kong and Beijing, as well as for aviation in the region.
