Members of Delta Air Lines SkyMiles program can now combine coach, first class, SkySaver and SkyChoice awards, the carrier announced on Wednesday. "As an example, a member who travels from Atlanta to London in a SkyChoice business elite seat and returns from London to Atlanta in a SkySaver coach seat may now redeem 150,000 miles versus the previously-required 250,000 miles for the same itinerary," the company said in a release. "Or, a member can fly from New York to Los Angeles in a SkySaver first-class seat and return in a SkySaver coach seat for 35,000 miles, which previously would have required 45,000 miles." Delta's SkyMiles program also recently implemented technology that automatically requests an upgrade for Delta's most frequent flyers, its Medallion members, when they make an eligible reservation through the carrier or with a travel agent.
