Enterprise Holdings Opens First Rental Car Locations in Jamaica

Travelers to Jamaica will now be able to rent vehicles from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car at Sangster International Airport as well as a second location on Queens Drive in Montego Bay. Enterprise Holdings, which owns all three brands, also announced plans to quickly expand its new presence in Jamaica to the capital city of Kingston in March 2017, with more locations to follow.

The rental locations are a partnership with ATL Automotive, a car dealership chain that’s part of the Sandals Resorts International (SRI) family of companies; in addition to Sandals and Beaches resorts, SRI runs the Island Routes tour company. “We look forward to continuing to grow in Jamaica with a partner whose values so closely align with our own,” said Peter A. Smith, vice president of global franchising at Enterprise Holdings, in a written release.

The Montego Bay facilities will offer a variety of vehicle types and classes to business and leisure travelers, according to company officials. “We have hand-picked a seasoned team to provide Jamaica’s leisure and corporate customers with the highest level of service, in addition to Jamaica’s only all-new 2017 model lineup,” said Adam Stewart, CEO and deputy chairman of SRI and the ATL Group.

Enterprise Holdings has been expanding its operations in Latin America and the Caribbean since acquiring the National and Alamo brands in 2007. The company current has franchises in 85 countries. ATL Automotive has car dealerships in Montego Bay and Kingston selling Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Range Rover, Jaguar and Honda vehicles.
