Teenagers traveling with their parents during the Spring Break season, or any time for that matter, will have a place to call their own at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, which launched Our Space, a program for 12- to 19-year-old guests, in December. Our Space options include foosball and billiard tables

Led by a group of teen concierges, the Our Space room is off limits to everyone in the resort except teens and Our Space counselors. Here teens will find entertainment options including X-Box and PlayStation game systems, laptop computers for Internet use, iPods and iPod docking stations, as well as a movie theater with a large DVD movie selection.

Favorite activities are surf lessons and clinics; other options include beach games, water sports, fitness and video game challenges, beach kayaking and pizza and movie nights.

Popular Easter activities with the teen set include beach bonfires, hayrides, family games and moonlight yoga.

The best rooms to book if clients are traveling with teens are the Gardenview suites because they have direct oceanfront views and large balconies; also, guests staying in these suites have Ritz-Carlton Club access—the club has five food and beverage presentations daily.

The hotel's travel agent liaison is Travel Industry Sales Manager Stephanie Leavitt (404-228-2531, [email protected]).
