Various enhancements to flight schedules at Vancouver International Airport have been announced. Low-cost carrier FlyGlobespan will start operating daily flights between a number of UK airports and Vancouver starting May 1. Depending on the day of the week, service will be offered from London Gatwick, Manchester or Glasgow airports. Starting in November, Air New Zealand will introduce direct flights from Auckland to Vancouver. The service will operate three times per week and will reduce travel time between the cities to 13 hours and 45 minutes. Starting December 14, Air Canada will introduce direct flights between Sydney and Vancouver.
