O'Hare Provides Options For Banned Items

Chicago's O'Hare International Airport last week started a two-month trial program so that passengers do not have to discard items confiscated by security officials. Instead, for a fee, travelers have the option of shipping items home or leaving them in storage at a nearby Hilton hotel. Rates vary from $9 to $45 depending on the item and whether travelers ship items home or leave them at the hotel. Six shipping kiosks, called Mall Safe Express, are located in O'Hare terminals 1, 2 and 3.
