Silverjet Announces New Route to Dubai

British business-class airline Silverjet announced that it will begin flying from London to Dubai starting in November of this year. This makes Silverjet the first business-class-only airline to launch a non-transatlantic service and the first commercial carrier in the world to offer a private terminal experience at both ends of a route. Britain is Dubai's leading inbound market in Europe, attracting almost three quarters of a million UK visitors in 2006. This figure represents more than 10 percent of the total global market to Dubai. Lawrence Hunt, Silverjet's CEO, notes that premium air traffic to the emirate shows growth of 20 percent year-to-year. "We are delighted to be able to offer passengers a private jet experience to one of the world's leading global destinations from just $2,190 return," says Hunt.

Silverjet will be the first and only commercial airline in the world to use the Executive Terminal at Dubai International Airport (DXB) for customer arrivals and departures. As with the airline's private terminal at London Luton (LTN), passengers will have dedicated security and a 30-minute check-in. A private chauffeur service and valet parking service is also available at both airports.

A daily flight will depart London Luton Airport at 9 p.m. and arrive in Dubai at 8:30 a.m. Return flights depart Dubai at 10:30 a.m. and arrive at London Luton at 2:45 p.m. A connecting flight to Newark Liberty International Airport departs London Luton Airport at 4:45 p.m. Visit [www.flysilverjet.com].
