Travelport/JetBlue Deal Benefits Agents

Travelport has announced details of a new global full content agreement with JetBlue Airways. The new multi-year agreement secures access to the airline’s full range of published fares and inventory for all Travelport’s GDS-connected travel agents and corporations worldwide with immediate effect.

"Through this partnership, we are delighted to provide our customers with full access to JetBlue fares and inventory through our Galileo and Worldspan distribution channels," said Dan Westbrook, vice president of supplier services for Travelport GDS. "As a global marketplace for 63,000 travel agencies worldwide, Travelport is committed to providing full content for our customers and providing cost-effective and value-added distribution to all suppliers."

The deal also includes an upgrade to e-ticketing, Interactive Sell, and Interactive Seats. These upgrades, planned for early first quarter of 2010, give Travelport customers real-time access to JetBlue inventory in the primary availability display (last-seat availability), real-time confirmation of bookings and seats, enabling them to offer the highest level of service to their travelers.

"JetBlue is pleased to provide our travel agent partners who are also Travelport subscribers with key booking process improvements and access to our full content," said Noreen Courtney-Wilds, vice president of sales for JetBlue Airways. "This new agreement allows us to add valuable incremental business and reach people who otherwise would not have an opportunity to book JetBlue."
