ARC Reports Air Sales Gains For July

The Airlines Reporting Corportation (ARC) reported good news for the third month in a row with a 14.46 percent increase in total air sales for July, hitting $6,469.578,473 billion. Year-to-date compared to 2009, it adds up to a welcome 20.65 percent gain to $47,534,180, 591 for the month. Credit card sales were up 14.97 percent for the month and 21.72 percent year to date.

Domestic fares hit $2,966,402.047, an 8.90 percent gain, while international fares saw a 21.2 percent gain to $2, 529.939,640. Year-to-date domestic fares grew 17.13 percent, while international fares grew 26.46 percent. Total fares hit $5,496,341.687 and year-to-date saw a 21.44 percent gain.

Total transactions grew 3.39 percent to 12,174,976, and 7.98 percent year-to-date. Domestic transactions grew 1.36 percent to 8,973,937, while international transactions grew 9.55 percent to 3,201,039 for July.

ARC said retail locations reporting totaled 15,335, with 838 satellite STP locations reporting along with 1,078 VTC locations. The average daily sales by ARC accredited locations totaled $12,098.
