Hawaii Visitor Spending Hits All-Time June High

Travelers who visited Hawaii in June spent $1.1 billion, an increase of 8.7 percent and sufficient to set a record for that month, according to data released by the state Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism. Helping spur this jump in spending was an increase in domestic visitor arrivals of 7.5 percent compared with last June. Domestic arrivals for June totaled 519,386, a record for the month.
