The official New7Wonders of the World list is out.

The New Wonders of the World are Chichenitza, Mexico; Christ the Redeemer, Brazil; Colosseum, Italy; Taj Mahal, India; Great Wall of China; Petra, Jordan; and Machu Picchu, Peru. Finalists that didn’t make it on the official list were Alhambra, Spain; Angkor, Cambodia; Kiyomizu Temple, Japan; Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany; Stonehenge, United Kington; Sydney Opera House; Australia; The Acropolis, Greece;  The Eiffel Tower, France; Hagia Sophia, Turkey; The Kremlin and Red Square, Russia; Pyramids of Giza, Egypt; The Statue of Liberty, USA; and Timbuktu, Mali.

The new list was elected by more than 100 million votes. The list has no order; all sites have equal ranking.

The provisional New7Wonders of Nature are based on the first count of vote results received on November 11. The voting calculation is now being checked, validated and independently verified, and the confirmed winners will be announced starting early 2012 during the Official Inauguration ceremonies.

The provisional winners are the Amazon, Halong Bay, Iguazu Falls, Jeju Island, Komodo, Puerto Princesa Underground River and Table Mountain.
