PhoCusWright Leads Seminar on Canadian Travel

The Canadian travel marketplace is unique and complex, PhoCusWright research says, announcing its new online report on travel in Canada. The new report, Online Travel in Canada: Market Size, Consumer Trends & Traffic, is a one-hour online event led by Douglas Quinby, PhoCusWright's senior director for research come Wednesday, June 30 at 12 p.m. EDT.

“Canadian consumers exhibit different travel patterns and booking habits than U.S. and European travelers” PhoCusWright says. “The CAD$8.5 billion online travel market in Canada is just as distinct and more than one-third of Canadian travel is now booked online. To tap into this growing market, travel companies can no longer rely on one size fits all strategies. They need market intelligence targeted to Canadian online travel consumers.”

Joining Quinby in the presentation that will deliver information on market size, consumer insights and key trends that companies need to get ahead in Canada will be Heather Dougherty, director of research at Hitwise. The format consists of a 45-minute presentation, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. Topics include online booking trends, social media, web traffic patterns, and an outlook for online travel agencies, travel suppliers and tour operators in Canada.
