Top 25 Most Stressed Cities in the U.S.

Those in Chicago need a vacation while those in Miami should expect some visitors. According to the Princess Cruises Life Balance Barometer, a national survey conducted by Harris Interactive, people who live in the Windy City are the most stressed in the U.S. while residents of the Magic City in Florida are the most relaxed. Rounding out the top five places where Americans have the least life balance are Houston, Boston, Los Angeles and San Diego, while Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Las Vegas and Dallas/Fort Worth accompany Miami.

The survey says that, though only one-quarter of people in the U.S. have life balance, more than half they believe they will achieve it in the next five years. The best answer? Perhaps a some travel time.

"We were pleased to see that one of the key enablers to living a balanced life was taking a vacation," said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises executive vice president. "In fact, we discovered there is a direct correlation between taking vacations and having a balanced life, as 64 percent of people who say they have attained life balance have taken a vacation in the last year."

Yet one in four Americans are not planning to take all their vacation days this year, with 40 percent citing work-related reasons.
