Hilton Hotels Corporation announced plans to open the Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa on the south west coast of Turkey. Hilton's subsidiary, Hilton Worldwide Resorts, entered a franchise agreement with Gocay Tourism, Management, Investment, Transportation & Trade Inc to open the new hotel in mid 2009. It will be the company's first resort property to debut in the country.

Dalaman is considered to be one of Turkey's emerging tourism hotspots as a leisure and golf destination. Its Sarigerme Beach, where the new resort will be located, stretches four miles along the Mediterranean Sea with spectacular scenery.

The new Hilton Dalaman Golf Resort & Spa will include 384 guest rooms— including 52 spacious suites— a private beach and pier, health club and spa, state-of-the-art gym, interconnected beach-front swimming pools and outdoor terraces, as well as an 18-hole championship golf course and nine hole golf academy facility. The resort will also contain seven different restaurants and bars. For business travellers, the resort will also be able to offer year round, flexible meeting and conference space including fully equipped Hilton meeting rooms and a dedicated business centre facility. The resort will be only five miles from Dalaman International Airport.
