Marriott International recently opened its second Edition hotel, the Istanbul Edition this month. The boutique hotel is located in the Levent neighborhood of Istanbul, Turkey, and features 77 guest lofts, each averaging 480 square feet in size.
Additional hotel amenities include a three-story spa by ESPA, the Cipriani restaurant, a Gold Bar, a drawing room, a screening room, meeting studios, a business center and a nightclub.
Prior to opening the new Istanbul Edition, Marriott International opened its first Edition property, the Waikiki Edition, in October 2010. The Edition hotel brand is spearheaded by famed hotelier Ian Schrager, who is often credited for inaugurating the boutique hotel genre.
Other upcoming Edition hotels slated to open will be located in Barcelona, Spain; Mexico City; Bangkok; South Beach, FL; and London.
