Turks and Caicos Resort Launches New Eco-Tourism Program for Children

Ocean Club Resorts, known for family travel in Turks and Caicos, has launched a new eco-friendly and educational Seafari scavenger hunt, exclusively designed for children visiting Ocean Club Resorts.

The new Seafari program teaches children about the resort’s endeavors to cultivate the presence of native wildlife and educates children about native plants, invertebrates, reptiles, and birds found at both resort properties, Ocean Club and Ocean Club West.

The Seafari Guidebook given to children upon check-in provides visual and written descriptions for identification and highlights some of the fun facts about the organisms.

These descriptions encourage children not just to find wildlife, but to explore how it lives, and how humans fit into this natural world. Children who complete the Seafari and bring the guidebook back to the front desk receive an explorer prize badge based upon their score.

Not only will children get the chance to become a Green, Junior or Master Explorer, but more importantly, they come away from their Ocean Club Resorts vacation understanding that there is more to paradise than superb swimming pools, pristine white beaches and sand castles.
