CIE Tours Launches 2011 Britain Program

Reporting a 65 percent growth in British and British/Irish tours in 2010, CIE Tours has launched its 2011 vacation program with 15 escorted tours to

Britain

including three brand new tours, as well as eight escorted tours that combine Britain with

Ireland

, according to Brian W. Stack, managing director of CIE Tours International.

The 2011 vacations are described in Ireland, Scotland, England & Wales, with Italy & European River Cruising, a new 100-page brochure and on the CIE Tours website, www.cietours.com.

The new tours of Britain are as follows:

Olde England & Heritage Tour - an eight-day/six-night vacation that showcases England and Scotland. This tour is priced from $1,298 land-only. Departures will run weekly on Saturdays from April 16 through October 22. A longer 8-night tour, priced from $370 extra and ending in London, is avalible.

Heart of Wales & England - a nine-day/seven-night escorted tour that goes off-the-beaten track into the countryside of southern England and Wales. Departures will be bi-weekly beginning April 22 through October 28, and prices start from $1,458 for land-only. A longer 10-day/eight-night tour, priced from $1,618 land only, provides an additional day/night in London at the Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel at the end of the tour.

Heart of Britain & Heritage Tour - a 15-day/13-night escorted tour that is focused on the literary, historic and scenic highlights of England, Scotland and Wales. The itinerary begins in Edinburgh and ends in England with visits to Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace, as well as the Cotswolds and Windsor Castle. Departures will be bi-weekly beginning April 16th until October 22nd, and prices start from $2,498 for land-only.

The CIE Tours International 2011 program also offers four proven-seller tours of Britain, ranging in duration from 6 to 12 days - English & Scottish Discovery, Scottish Isles and Glens, Scottish Dream, and Taste of Scotland.

In addition, there are seven established tours that combine Britain with Ireland including the unique Scots Irish Tour, a 12-day vacation that pairs Scotland with Northern Ireland.
