How to Organize a One Direction-Themed Tour of London (VIDEO)

If you have clients with teenagers, the kids will likely be interested in UK-based pop band One Direction. And if the family is headed to London, the kids will appreciate getting to see locations around the city associated with the band. Courtesy of VisitLondon, here are some must-see attractions for One Direction fans in the city.

One Thing

Get an open-top bus tour like the boys do in the video for One Thing and explore Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, Covent Garden and the EDF Energy London Eye. (Tip: Golden Tours offers hop-on/hop-off open-top bus tours.)

River Madness

Take a speedboat down the Thames and tour Tower Bridge like One Direction do in the video for Midnight Memories, buzzing past Houses of Parliament and the Eye. Hop off at Tower Bridge and take the official tour.

Football Crazy

Take a tour of Wembley Stadium, where the band recently sold out the 90,000-seat venue for the last date of their Where We Are tour. The singers are closely connected to football (or soccer) culture: Louis Tomlinson recently bought a stake in Doncaster Rovers and Harry Styles is often in a Manchester United shirt.

Wimbledon

Niall and Liam were also seen at one of the major tennis events this year, taking pictures with Wimbledon star Laura Robson at the Lawn Tennis Club. The venue is open for tours all year round, and visitors can see some great behind-the-scenes attractions.

Time to Take a Selfie

Spend a few hours at Madame Tussauds and see the wax copies of the singers that were specially designed for visitors to pose with. Good to know: The statues are due back in London this month after spending time in Berlin.
