Monograms Offers Downton Abbey-Inspired Tour

“Downton Abbey” is back on the air in the U.S., so this is the perfect time for fans of the Crawley family (and their household team) to head over to the UK and explore the world of the series. Monograms is offering a day in Oxford, Bampton & Highclere Castle--all locations featured in the popular series. This day-trip will be available to travelers on select Monograms Packages that include London between mid-July and mid-September 2015.

Excursion details include:
·       Taking a walking tour of Oxford, home to one of the world’s greatest and oldest universities.
·       Visiting Bampton, the village featured on “Downton Abbey.”  Travelers can visit the church, various pubs as well as film sets and locations such as Matthew Crawley’s mother’s house, the hospital and post office.

·       Touring the public spaces (the main hall, library and sitting rooms, for instance) of Highclere Castle, where the TV series is filmed.

Travelers can also spend time walking through the parklands or sampling tea and cakes in one of the castle’s tea rooms.
