'Serious Progress' Made in BA Strike Negotiations

April 9, 2010 By: Jena Tesse Fox

More promising news from Europe's airline industry: According to the New York Times, the union representing British Airways’ 13,500 flight attendants said that talks with airline’s management this week had made "serious progress" toward resolving differences over wage cuts and changes to in-flight staffing, and put off plans for further strikes after two costly walkouts last month. Details on the negotiations have not been forthcoming, but keep checking for more news as we get it.

The news comes on the heels of the merger between BA and Iberia, and BA's new partnership with Sabre as its GDS.
