Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge Opens in Alaska

With last month’s grand opening of the Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge in Alaska, travel agents have a new wilderness resort to send their clients who are looking to explore the Frontier State.

Each of the 16 private, handbuilt log cabins offer authentic Alaskan ambiance and are connected by a network of paths and boardwalks, to ensure easy accessibility. Each cabin offers at least two double beds; a select few include an additional twin bed to accommodate families. All cabins offer a view of Pedersen Lagoon—and, with a private back porch and rocking chairs, a perfect place to relax and appreciate the natural setting.

On-demand heat, electricity and running water bring comfort and convenience to Alaska's backcountry (it is a vacation, after all!). Each cabin also features a private bath complete with shower, sink and flush toilet.

The 3,000-square-foot main lodge includes an elegant dining room; a comfortably appointed guest lounge, with leather sofas and a wood stove; a library nook with information on local flora and fauna; a bar offering a selection of wines and Alaskan microbrews on tap; and a spacious back deck with comfortable rocking chairs.

Alaska Wildland Adventures (AWA) is currently offering a number of great deals for travel to Alaska and stays at Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge, including savings of up to $700 per person on four departures of All-Inclusive Alaska Vacations or 15 percent off select Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge Packages.
