Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Confirms Summer 2015 Opening

Margaritaville Hollywood BeachMargaritaville Hollywood Beach has confirmed a summer 2015 opening date. The Fort Lauderdale resort today announced a number of updates on the property’s amenities as well as details on the first members of its management team.

The 349-room 17-story resort will have a range of dining and beverage options. The property has seven confirmed venues, including Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Landshark Bar & Grill, License to Chill rooftop bar, Lone Palm Bar and 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Rounding out the resort’s offerings is JWB’s, a Margaritaville-inspired upscale dining restaurant. 

Margaritaville guests will also have access to the 15,000 square-foot Somewhere Spa. The oceanfront facility will have eleven treatment rooms, a co-ed wet lounge with heated benches, two couples treatment rooms, monsoon showers and a cascade pool. Available services will include aromatherapy, massage, facial, waxing, hair styling and manicure/pedicures.

The hotel will cater to business travelers with a selection of eleven meeting and event spaces, including the 10,000 square-foot ‘Compass Rose Ball room,’ which will be divisible into four smaller segments. 

Margaritaville has also appointed some members of its management team. Cate Farmer has been selected as General Manager. Farmer most recently served as GM of Mondrian at Baha Mar in Nassau. She has held positions in Morgans Hotel Group Mondrian South Beach and Ames in Boston.  

Additionally, Margaritaville has named Manny Corral as director of sales and marketing. Corral previously served as director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, overseeing the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort and Casino and Westin Aruba Resort.

Additional information on the resort is expected in the coming months, including details on the property’s’ beachfront fitness center, entertainment venues, retail space and children’s program. The property’s new website is expected to launch in fall 2014.
