The new B Resort & Spa in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, has announced its grand opening.
In the Downtown Disney area, the resort is a lifestyle experience with a full-service spa, barbeque, emphasis on guest technology location within easy walking distance of the Downtown Disney shops and a brief ride from Disney World's theme parks.
Key amenities include the resort's zero-entry pool with interactive water features; four tennis courts; a Kid's Zone; complimentary FreeB Wi-Fi available throughout the guest rooms, meeting spaces and public areas; and Monscierge, a digital touchscreen concierge and destination guide (also available via mobile app) offering recommendations for local attractions, dining outlets and shopping.
The B Indulged AVEDA, a lifestyle spa, the first full-service spa for the B Hotels & Resorts brand, offers a customizable menu of services, including massages and skin care treatments, a hair salon, a nail boutique, and the B Active Fitness Center.
The resort will also showcase Central Florida's art scene with the B Artistic program, which puts original works on display and available for purchase in the resort's common areas. All proceeds from the sales of B Artistic artwork go directly to the artists. The property has also partnered with the Wildlife Foundation of Florida for the local extension of the brand-wide B Humane Program, which was designed to increase awareness of endangered species native to the region in which each B hotel is located. Through the program in Orlando, a plush gopher frog is available for "adoption" (i.e. purchase) in each guest room, with a portion of the proceeds going towards wildlife protection efforts.
Dining and Guestrooms
The resort's signature restaurant, American Q, offers a modern take on classic barbeque with specialties from more than a dozen regions throughout the United States and Latin America, including an appetizer and salad buffet housed on the flatbed of a 1951 cherry-red Ford F1 pickup truck, and an "all-you-can-eat" parade of barbequed meats and poultry, continuously served tableside by "cowboy/cowgirl" servers. An a la carte and a kids menu are also available. Other onsite dining outlets include the Pool Bar & Grill and The Pickup, a casual one-stop shop located just off the lobby for quick breakfasts, snacks through the day, and a full-service ice cream shop. In-room dining is also available 24 hours a day.
Guestrooms are decorated in blue and white décor and floor-to-ceiling windows, many offering views of the area's lakes, theme parks and evening fireworks celebrations. Each room has custom furnishings and 47" HD LED interactive flatscreen televisions, as well as a beverage center and a B Treated Box of snacks. Complimentary gaming consoles are available upon request. Some rooms are also equipped with bunk beds or kitchenettes.
