When Travel Agent took a tour of The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai back in October, we knew we were staring at a money-making machine for agents.
And with its recent inclusion on TripAdvisor's list of the top 10 U.S. hotel spas, our vote of confidence was validated.
The resort at Kaupulehu on the Kona Coast was chosen as part of TripAdvisor’s wellness travel survey of more than 1,100 U.S. travelers. TripAdvisor noted that 30 percent of travelers surveyed plan to take a trip this year dedicated to rejuvenating their mind, body or spirit.
Accoridng to Pacific Business News, the Hawaii resort was No. 8 on the list. The other properties, in order, are: Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara, Calif.; Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes in Florida; Canyon Ranch Hotel & Spa Miami Beach; Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village in California; Four Seasons Hotel Denver; Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas; Travaasa Austin in Texas; Ojai Valley Inn and Spa in California; and Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago.
Housed in intimate two-story bungalows, the 16-year-old Four Seasons Resort Hualalai has 243 guest rooms and suites, including 51 suites and villas. An extensive collection of native Hawaiian art can be seen throughout, along with nature-inspired décor and fantastic outdoor living areas. All of the villas are located in a lava rock setting.
