Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki Names New General Manager

Wade GesteuyalaHawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and Golf Club recently announced the promotion of Wade Gesteuyala to general manager. Gesteuyala has served as hotel manager since 2008.

“With over 35 years of hotel industry experience and a longstanding history with Prince Resorts Hawaii, Wade has grown into a beloved and well-respected leader,” said Donn Takahashi, president of Prince Resorts Hawaii, in a written release. “We congratulate him on this well deserved promotion and look forward to his continued contributions to the company.”

As executive housekeeper, Gesteuyala served as part of the opening management team in 1990, when he was named Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki Manager of the Year. In the years following, he worked at various properties, including the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa in South Carolina, Hilton Guam Resort and Spa, and Pacific Islands Club in Guam.
    

Upon his return to Hawaii, Gesteuyala was named hotel manager at Mauna Kea Resort. He eventually returned to Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and has served as hotel manager for the past seven years.
