Hawaii Superferry Extends Drydock

February 28, 2008 By: Travel Agent Central Contributor Travel Agent

Hawaii Superferry announced today the need to extend the amount of time the vessel Alakai will be in drydock due to damage to it’s hull, which occurred during the drydocking process, and additional maintenance that was identified while the vessel has been in drydock.

The Alakai was originally scheduled to resume service on March 3. However, Hawaii Superferry has cancelled sailings through March 24 to complete the necessary repairs and maintenance. Reservations for sailings commencing March 25 are being accepted. Updates on the repair schedule will be issued as they become available. Passengers holding reservations for affected voyages are being notified, re-accommodated on a future voyage or refunded. Visit or call 877-443-3779.
